P & B Books was started in 1996 by James Cantey and Nancy Cantey Banasiak. We grew up in Guilford, CT and have been avid readers our whole lives. This interest in books transformed us from book lovers to collectors to finally, sellers of rare and out-of-print books.

     P & B Books had their first auction in December 1999, in Fairfield, CT. The auctions offer a wide variety of books including Americana, Regional Americana, Children's Books, Illustrated, Sporting, First editions, Limited editions, Fine leather bindings, Maps/Atlases, Ephemera, Signed editions, Civil War, Foreign/Travel, Science fiction and Reference.

     P & B Books is a partnership dedicated to selling antiquarian books through live book auctions, however, we anticipate having several auctions per year in the future. The current schedule is twice per year. The company buys individual books, private libraries or accepts consignments.
